Whether you have two or fifty employees, managing their performance well can result in motivated and productive employees who can make the difference in the success of your business. Do it poorly, or not at all, can have the opposite effect and lead to increased legal liabilities and costs well beyond just the problem employee. In this three-hour class, we will look at practical ways to manage employee performance and prudent steps for progressive discipline and termination of an employee when necessary. The class format is presentation and group discussion. Come prepared to discuss common mistakes and explore approaches for mitigating your most challenging performance and conduct issues, such as attendance/punctuality issues, lack of attention to detail, and disruptive behavior from inappropriate communication to harassment.
