Just one look at the scenery around us, and it’s no wonder that Lincoln County is such a promising place to work as a Real Estate Broker. And, this Fall, Oregon Coast Community College will present a 10-week Real Estate Pre-License course, a course designed to help aspiring Real Estate brokers launch their careers here on the Central Coast. This term, the course will be presented at OCCC’s North County Center in Lincoln City. The class revolves around online course work completed independently between weekly classroom sessions, and it meets the 150-hour Oregon Real Estate Agency requirement to qualify to take the Oregon State Real Estate Broker License exam. “Once a student completes this course,” said OCCC Small Business Development Center Director Dave Price, “they will be able to submit their broker application to the Oregon Real Estate Agency and they’ll be able to take the Oregon State/PSI Real Estate Broker exam.”

This class is a 10-week 5:30-8:30pm, Tuesday evening class that finishes up with an all day, 8am-5pm, Saturday class on December 9.

Are you using the right social media tools for your business? There are many platforms, and each one works differently. Each can provide different results for different types of businesses. They also have different tools, strategies, clients and markets. How can a small business keep up, and find the time to manage their social media effectively – while also having enough time to, you know, run their business? This class will cover the many changes, updates and functionality of each platform, and how to determine which may work best for your particular business. Even in a world of mass marketing and noise, proper use of social media can help you talk directly to clients when they are in the market for your product.

What do you want to do next? Perhaps…a new offering from your business, moving from working to retirement, from one job (or career!) to another, from feeling out of shape to feeling strong, or from being curious about a new skill to learning it. Transitions are challenging. A pretty sure bet is that it's going to take you outside your comfort zone, which can feel awkward, lonely, and sometimes downright scary. But here's the thing. It's worth it! You get to create a life you love. In this class, you'll clarify what you want next through using an in-depth visualization tools, and then sharpen the focus through activities leading you to specific action steps. You'll leave with a plan for doing what's next for you.

Description: How do you choose what's most valuable to get done? What's your system for holding the focus on what's important rather than continually being distracted by what's seemingly urgent? We all have stuff we want (and need!) to get done. Why don't we just do it? The trick is to find the way that works for you. In this hand's-on workshop, we'll delve into:
Connecting with your core values…the "why" fueling your actions
Designing a goal system…setting & tracking
Removing obstacles in your way…identifying the visible (and invisible!) blocks
Building a support system…the lubricant to make the process flow smoothly
