Our Small Business Development Center offers a variety of classes with small time commitments and big impacts. We hold evening classes, day-long workshops and intensive series, where you’ll learn marketing, record-keeping, social media and more.

Want to get your Contractor license?

We offer the pre-license education and the exam in both English and Spanish – we are the one-stop place for you to get the required 16 hours of education and you take the exam at the same place at the same time.

Find A Class For Your Business

IDEA: You have an idea for a business, but it isn’t off the ground yet. You may have some of the pieces in place or a working plan but aren’t yet in business. This is sometimes also called “pre-venture”.

LAUNCH: Your business is up and running. You may not yet be profitable and things still feel new.

EXPANSION: Your business is generating a consistent source of income and you regularly see new customers. You are looking at new opportunities for your business.

RENEWAL: Business conditions, leadership and other factors can lead to changes in direction. This is a time to look at new processes and big decisions to move the business forward. It is often when businesses pursue new avenues for growth.

Lesson 4: Oregon Construction Law, Employees, Subcontractors

How it works:

After each Lesson an exam will be given on the topics presented. The exam is timed and is not an open book test. The passage percentage for each exam is 70% or above. If you do not pass all the exams you will need to retake the ones you missed. There is a $50.00 fee for each time you need to retake an exam.
