Bio - Greg Smith is the great, great, grandson of Oregon pioneers. His ancestor, George Vincent James moved to Oregon in 1852 and soon after was elected one of the first sheriffs of Multnomah County. Another of Smith’s ancestor, Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Bills, sewed the first U.S. flag made in Oregon.

He is a graduate of Eastern Oregon University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies and a Masters in Business Administration. He is the 2001 Distinguished Alumnus of Eastern Oregon University and serves on the Eastern Oregon University Foundation Board.

Greg has serves as the contract Director of the Eastern Oregon University Small Business Development Center. He brings with him a vast knowledge and background in commercial finance and economic development. Throughout his professional career, he has traveled to 28 counties and five continents, including communist China promoting Oregon products and industry. Greg is also the owner of Gregory Smith & Company, LLC, a business development company that provide economic development services throughout Eastern Oregon.
